So, you've come across our FAQ! This will help you with any questions you have about the site. If you don't see your question on this list, just post it here and we'll not only answer it, but add it to the list!
Q: Why are some of the main canons that die in the series (Boromir, Denethor, etc) still alive in this RP? A: This is a very AU roleplay in which many of the main canons have different fates than they did in the series. Because the Ring was destroyed faster than in the books (Gandalf and the Fellowship flew on the Eagles and dropped the Ring into Mount Doom), none of the Fellowship actually died during their journey, and no other canons died either aiding or thwarting them. With our new, unique plot, we are giving you the chance to weave a new fate for all the characters.
Q: Who has alliances and where? (Basically, give a brief overview of the alliances and what to expect depending on where you live.) A: Denethor is allied with Saruman, and Gondor used to be on Saruman's side while Denethor was ruling it. Now that Aragorn is king, Gondor and Rohan are allies, and the Fellowship is mostly part of that as well. There are probably henchmen for Saruman wherever you go, but for the most part, all the different places are either neutral (Rivendell) or on the side of the Fellowship/Gandalf.
Q: Who are the main leaders of the two opposing sides in this RP? A: Gandalf VS Saruman is the gist of it.
Q: Now that Gondor is being ruled by Aragorn, are they all good now? A: Not exactly. Even though Gondor is technically allies with Rohan now, even Gandalf doesn't trust Gondor. Of course Aragorn is trusted immensely, but no one trusts the Gondorians as much anymore. There is a lot of tension between Gondor and Rohan at the moment.
Q: Where do the elves and hobbits stand on this? A: The hobbits are neutral as always (why not? its worked for them for this long?) though those that belong to the Fellowship and their friends are more involved. The elves of Lorien are on the side of the Fellowship for the most part, but the elves of Rivendell are either mostly gone to Valinor or are neutral in their beliefs.
