Orion Sandor
'Cause we hunt you down without mercy
Hunt you down all nightmare long
Feel us breathe upon your face
Feel us shift, every move we trace
full name, Orion Sandor
nicknames, -------
age, 34
class/profession, Former Commander-in-Chief for Steward Denethor, now commander of Dol Amorth guard.
marital status, single
race, man
alliance, Gondor, not Aragorn or Denethor.
hair, Orion's hair is dark brown in colour and sits just above his shoulders in a pony tail. The front of his hair is pulled back so it does not fall into his eyes.
eyes, Orions dark brown eyes can consume his enemies with fear. It is like looking into the place of eternal darkness where Orion is about to send his foes.
build and body, 6'2, 12 stone. Orion has a rather tall figure and whilst not the biggest warrior or strongest, he makes up for it with his speed and agility.
anything else, -----
face claim, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau
likes,
- Battles - Orion was battle-born, he loves the thrill of a fight. When he served as commander in chief for the Gondorian army he would often rush to the front lines to distinguish himself as a true hero of this age.
- Fame - Orion's thirst for battle was born out of his desire for fame. He wanted his name to be known and feared across the land, and so took to studying of military tactics and formations in his early years and when he came of age he joined the Gondorian ranks to pursue this ambition and desire for fame.
- Woman - Orion remains single for this very reason. He loves too many woman to commit to just one and thus has many mistresses.
- Reading - Despite his life full of war and battles, Orion does not shy from reading all kinds of books. He feels that it enhances his knowledge and in term makes him a better general and warrior for it.
- Gondor - Orion loves Gondor, plain and simple. The land, the people and the cities, he loves them all. He is willing to die fighting to protect the honour and longevity of the kingdom, one day he hopes to regain his position of Commander in chief and once again be the dominate military figure in the land.
dislikes,
- Aragorn - Orion believes Aragorn is a traitor, he may be the heir to the land but Orion believes that he abandoned Gondor in its time of need. He is not fit to rule the kingdom.
- Denethor - Another man not fit to rule but Orion likes him more than Aragorn. Denethor betrayed Gondor and the alliance of men when he joined Saruman and will die by the sword of a Gondorian for his betrayal.
- Gandalf - Orion also has a hatred of the wizard Gandalf, he has no claim to any land but his own home, yet he assumes power in Rohan. He is not to be trusted and like the Dark wizard Saruman, he could easily betray the trust of man when power corrupts him.
- Archers - Orion believes every man who uses a bow is a coward. He has a place for them in his army because they are fundamental to strategy and warfare but he despises the people who use them.
- Elves - Elves predominately use the bow as their favoured weapon and hide behind their high walls, these elves are the biggest cowards, real heroes fight with sword and spear. One day Orion plans to drive his spear through the barrage of elven arrows and put their cowardliness to rest with one thrust.
strengths,
- Speed - Orion is a very fast man, when his armies come to clash with another, he is usually the first one to reach the front lines. His spear manoeuvring is also very quick, to lose concentration for a split second could result in death.
- Stamina - Orion has spent years of his life training for combat and has gained a great amount of stamina from it. Only long drawn out battles result in fatigue for him. Many of his battles he can fight at full fitness through to the end.
- Experienced - Orion joined the ranks of the Gondor army when he was 14 and thus has 20 years of combat experience whilst remaining young. He has an older head upon his young shoulders and is one of the reasons why he lead the army so soon.
- Patience - Patience is a virtue in warfare, and Orion has it in abundance. If he knows he would have to wait a whole year before engaging an enemy to ensure victory then he would, despite his craving for a battle.
- Bravery - Many men build merit on strength or intelligence. However many of these men lack the bravery to go and claim eternal fame through heroic acts. Orion cares not for his life and would risk it in the name of Gondor or eternal fame.
weaknesses,
- Hot-headed - Whilst Orion is very patient, he needs to be in the right state of mind. Slander and taunts can really get the best of Orion due to his hot headed nature.
- Hatred for others - Orion hates alot of other people, powerful people such as Aragorn and Gandalf. Basically anyone who can threaten his quest for fame and the life of Gondor
- Over-confidence - Orion is a very confident man, who wouldn't be with his military record but this confidence can get the better of him, especially when he outnumbers or underestimates the opponent.
- Corrupt by power - Orion desires power, and know Aragorn has come to rule Gondor he desires it more. His ambition is starting to get the better of him and who knows, maybe he will rise to power in Dol Amaroth...
- Loveless - Orion's only love is warfare and whores and can be seen as ruthless by his enemies and allies. He would not give a surrendered man mercy because he feels no emotion towards them or anyone else.
fears,
- Spiders
- Travelling by boat
- Olaphants
dreams, Orion's dream is to be sole ruler of the Gondor lands but the only way to do so is to seize power through military force, he has the alliance of the majority of the men loyal to Gondor. His task will start with Dol Amraoth.
personality, Orion Sandor always tries to be a just man. He has a sense of responsibility and tries to act like it. However, he is somewhat short-tempered and can get quite aggressive quite quickly when things don't go his way and it is moments like that when he easily loses the sense of responsibility that he likes to praise himself for. This shows another feature of Orion, the fact that he is very fond of himself and likes to think everyone should praise and like him, just like he does himself.
In battle, Orion is an able warrior, capable of severing limbs and heads off of his opponents thanks to his good agility and strong body. despite his arrogance, he is smart enough to see when his chances of victory in battle are too small and he is not afraid of declining duels or sending in his henchmen for him to do the dirty job for him. It is better to lose a loyal servant then ur own life, after all.
When it comes to leading men in to battle, Orion is a capable commander. Thanks to his determination and self-confidence, his soldiers are always willing to do anything he asks. If not, he is knows the laws of the army by heart and will not refrain from executing and soldiers that desert, disobey or simply fail in carrying out their orders. Discipline is very important for Orion, and so he demands the same discipline from the men around him as he does from himself. Orion's tactical skills surpass his stratigical skills, but that does not mean he is afraid of letting his opininon be known about stratigical issues.
father, Unknown, Orion is a bastard.
mother, Mrs. Sandor. Orion did not know her first name and only referred to her as Mother or Mrs Sandor.
siblings, None
other figures, Many men who have perished fighting with him.
lineage, Gondor
history, Orion was born a bastard in the city of Dol Amroth, his mother told him that his father was a Gondorian solider but she did not know his name and was most likely dead at this time too. This did not stop Orion from wanting to become a leading military figure in Gondor. He loved the place, its land, its people and its beautiful coast despite having a fear of travelling by boat. He swore to his mother that he would give his life in exchange for the freedom of this land. He began his search for a general he could squire for but one wise man told him "Strength alone is only half the battle, without knowledge strength is weak and isolated." As so he began to study hard in military texts. When he came of age he joined the ranks of the Gondorian army and rose trough the ranks after achieving greatly and showing real potential but now he resides in Dol Amroth, his home town. He tends to his mothers grave everyday. He is the second most powerful man behind the prefect loyal to Aragorn. He plans rebellion and this will be the first city to follow his lead.

Xinye
Cao Tai and his father, Cao Ren were returning from and outing. A bonding session between father and son had taken place. A horse ride which turned into a race between the two men was located on the outskirts of Xinye, Cao Ren and his horse were far to superior for Cao Tai and his horse.
"You're going to need to brush up your skills if you want to take me on again, son." Joked Cao Ren.
Tai let out a chuckle at his fathers joke and replied "Well, I didn't want to hurt your pride, father, but now I know you want some competition, I wont hold back next time, haha!"
Both men continued to laugh together as they returned to the city. It was a humid day in sunny Xinye and both men were rather tired and thirsty after the morning event, so they stopped off at one of the taverns to quench their thirst. The landlord was well composed when dealing with the two generals, he didn't say much to them which is just the way that the Cao's liked it. They finished their drinks but before they could leave they were mobbed like modern day celebrities, however they were mobbed mainly by drunks. Drunks wanting to know when the war will end and wanting to see if the tales about Ren's prowess were true.
He could not answer the first question and so told them that information but he outright denied all the tales about him, even those that were true. Ren was a modest man and he hated people making a fuss about him. The pair soon left the tavern and returned to the governing house. Upon arrival there stood an envoy requesting Cao Ren's presence in An Ding, as the Wei force prepared to move on the traitor Ma Teng.
"I cannot leave!" Cao Ren exclaimed. "Jing is worth more than the west, who sent you?!" Cao Ren demanded.
The envoy remained silent for a while but when pressed by Cao Ren, he told him that the governor of Chang'an sent him. He stroked his short black beard as he thought of what to do. Many of the other officers were busy with the northern issue of Yuan Shao and building the force in the east to combat Wu there. He looked towards his son and nodded, Tai acknowledged what he wanted of him and left immediately, leaving the defence of Jing to his father.
An Ding
After a long trek lasting a number of days Cao Tai finally arrived at the encampment south of An Ding. It was nearing midnight, so the first thing he did was sleep. He was awoken in the morning after a goodnight's sleep by a confused governor, Tai had not told anyone of his arrival, he simply went to the commanders tent and went to sleep.
"Uhh.. we weren't expecting you until this morning. How was the trip." The governor enquired.
"I rode through night so I could get a goodnight sleep here, the trip was fine." He got up out of bed and began to get dressed. Once he was dressed he continued his conversation. "What's the situation." He asked as the pair walked out of the tent.
"We are going through final preparations, we plan to strike tomorrow morning. You will command the troops.." The govenor hesitated to speak but was pressed by Tai to do so. "Uhh.. We have received word that the prefect of Han Zhong is Ma Chao, we are uncertain as to whether or not he will send aid to his father. It is likely but it isn't a full gone conclusion."
"No need to worry" Cao Tai replied confidently. "My father has taught me all I need to know." He paused as he began to have flashbacks of him and Cao Ren training. "However we must remain vigilant, especially here. Ma Chao may look to strike the camp whilst we are gone and then catch us in a vice. I need you to make defensive preparations ready for our leave tomorrow, understood?"
"Of course sir, we shall get that done right away." The governor replied as he hurried to begin preparations.
Cao Tai clicked his neck from side to side and stretched his arms and back. He mounted his horse and strolled around the camp to make sure everything was ready for his big moment tomorrow.
